LINKIN PARK's CHESTER BENNINGTON Shares Post-Surgery Photos
January 26, 2015LINKIN PARK was forced to cancel the remaining dates on its U.S. tour after singer Chester Bennington suffered a leg injury requiring immediate medical attention. Bennington said, "I need to take the proper time to assess the severity of my injury and apologize for any disappointment this has caused. I look forward to seeing you all again soon." Bennington was later seen walking with crutches at a show in Indianapolis, and he has since undergone surgery to treat the problem, as he revealed in the photos below via his official Twitter account.
The Pulse Of Radio asked Bennington a while back if he does anything special to get himself in shape for the road. "I really try to work out a lot," he said. "I try to sing a lot. I don't like to go on tour and be kind of cold, I like to go out kind of feeling a little worn out already, so I really try to push my body a little bit more intensely the few days before the first show. By the time I get to, like, my second or third show on a tour is when I start to feel like, 'Okay, now I've got the rhythm.' So I decided that if I do that before I leave, if I try to get myself a little exhausted before I go, then I'm usually pretty good."
Bennington also performed at the show in Indianapolis using a scooter to support his leg.
Although the vocalist did not specify the extent of his injury, he reportedly broke an ankle.
Fans can seek refunds at the point of purchase for the canceled shows.
LINKIN PARK was touring in support of its sixth studio album, "The Hunting Party", which debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard album chart when it came out last June.
